Spring in Richmond is beautiful! Dogwoods bloom, the weather finally warms up, and the city comes alive with Easter events for all ages. Whether you're chasing eggs with your kids or sipping wine in a vineyard, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate. Here’s a round-up of some of the best Easter events happening around Richmond, VA in 2025.
Monument Avenue
Sunday, April 20th, 2025 | 1–5 PM
After a five-year hiatus, the beloved Easter on Parade is making its big return to Monument Avenue—and yes, the hats are back, too.
Expect elaborately dressed pets, live music, food vendors, street performers, and so many photo ops. This free event is a Richmond tradition and a must-see, even if you don’t have kids. Think of it as a walking fashion show with pastel bow ties, bonnets, and maybe a pug in a tutu.
Maymont, 1700 Hampton St, Richmond
Saturday, April 19th, 2025 | 9 AM–3 PM
Maymont is always a family favorite, and Easter weekend is no exception. This year's Easter at Maymont features egg hunts, crafts, lawn games, photos with the Easter Bunny, and farm animal visits. Timed tickets are required, so it’s best to reserve early.
The egg hunts are divided by age group (1-2, 3-4, 5-7, and 8-10), and there's even a sensory-friendly hunt for kids who need a calmer experience. Pack a picnic or grab something from the food trucks while the kids run wild.
Not strictly an Easter event, but the Chesterfield Towne Center Carnival has all the nostalgic spring fun you could want—rides, funnel cakes, games, and plenty of neon lights. It’s a great way to kick off the Easter season with the family (or relive your own childhood for a night).
Bonus: If your kids are already hyped up on Peeps, let them burn it off spinning on the Tilt-A-Whirl.
Ashton Creek Vineyard, Chester, VA
Saturday, April 12th, 2025 | 6–9 PM
Who says Easter is just for kids? Ashton Creek Vineyard is hosting a 21+ Adult Easter Egg Hunt with live music, wine tastings, and golden eggs stuffed with grown-up prizes (think gift cards, swag, maybe a bottle or two).
It’s a fun excuse to gather your friends, throw on a cute spring outfit, and spend an evening sipping wine and hunting eggs in a beautiful vineyard setting. (Just be sure to bring a flashlight—it gets competitive out there after sunset.)
There’s a lot going on around Richmond for Easter this year, so if something caught your eye, definitely check it out sooner rather than later—some of these events fill up fast.
And if you’re local and thinking about moving or just curious about the market, you know where to find me.
Hope you have a great Easter weekend!
